Today’s ICT-Coordinators ‘CPD’ saw the computer bus man who is (hopefully) retiring soon make a final presentation to the assembled teachers and heads inside Santon Old School.
In what must represent the heaviest ‘visual aid’ brought to any course at Santon, the computer bus had been reversed up the lane and into the car park, as the computer bus man gave a talk about it and the history of the Mac, iPad and ICT in general on the Island since the mid 1970s.
Interestingly, when John Thornley the IoM’s first IT Advisor began the ICT story back in the 1980s, it was here at Santon Old School that the story began.
Interesting that it was - in a way - here where the bus story is coming to an end over 30-years later...
