After withdrawal from service, Bus 30 was taken to Isle of Man Transport’s Homefield bus garage in Douglas. Having been selected as the future ‘computer bus’, it was moved into the maintenance workshop for attention to bodywork and rear brakes. During this time the seats were removed, windows swapped to maximise ventilation on the nearside, and the now fixed offside and rear windows panelled over.
