EACH YEAR the boys and girls at Ballacottier have created a leavers film to show at the leavers’ assembly.
This penultimate visit of the computer bus for this term saw the children importing not only iPad video but also separate digital sound recorded with a boom mic, into Final Cut. The software automatically synchronises the clips and sound.
The boys and girls then added suitable backgrounds using the chromakey feature, then created a ‘compound’ clip to edit out the mistakes, and add titles and sound effects.
These were then exported as a 720p Quicktime movie.
The bus will make one last visit to Ballacottier on Friday to allow the clips to be fine-tuned and compiled into a complete film incorporating work from each group.
