When the Computer Bus began in September 1998 the ‘world wide web’ was something of a novelty... Mobile phones were rarely seen with ‘pagers’ (remember them?) being the mobile communication device of choice for doctors...

‘3G’ was still under development and had yet to be commercially released.

Today as part of ‘refresh’ of the computer bus (the third since 1998), Mike from SignRite came along to apply the new ‘4G’ vinyl lettering to the bus - along with Manx Telecom’s new logo using the Ultima typeface.

There are still some more jobs to be done to the bus before the refresh is complete - notably new air tanks - but resplendent in its new colours - the bus is ready to embark on its 18th year!
