QEii High School Year 11 Textiles AQA GCSE class today put the finishing touches to their visualisations of their designs. Having earlier had their hand-drawn designs scanned in, they used the power of Adobe Photoshop Elements to clean up the drawings, select areas of colour, cut and paste to create layers, then apply embossing and other filters to create the effect of quilting. In some cases text and additional illustrations were added.
Later, the designs were transferred to an A3 design sheet and annotated before being saved to be printed on the posh A3 laser back at the Computer Bus HQ in Douglas.
That so much of such quality was done in so little time is a tribute to the students (and the teachers) involved. We wish them all luck with their final exams later this year.
For the Bus - later this week its Scoill Ree Gorree in Ramsey!
