SATURDAY May 15th, the Manx Telecomputer Bus visited the Curraghs Wildlife Park!
Each year - primary schools on the Isle of Man compete for the ‘Otter Trophy’- awarded for the best work completed featuring the animals at the Island’s Curraghs Wildlife Park.
As part of this year’s competition, the Computer Bus visited the park, to give children the opportunity to make ‘www’ pages about the park.
Arbory and Anagh Coar school took part, with teachers Mr R.Sellors (Arbory) and Mrs V. Dassoulas (Anagh Coar School, Douglas).
Mr Nick Pinder from the Wild Life Park, and newly appointed Park Education Officer Ruth Moore were on hand to help, and a fine spread of sandwiches was provided by the Park’s Cafeteria Staff to keep the show on the road - on what turned out to be a very long day!
Also in attendance was Penny Creighton from the Department of Education, and John Thornley the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Adviser, who came to make sure everything was ship-shape with the computers, and special digital imaging equipment on board the bus for the day.
