Years 3, 4 and 5 visited the Computer Bus during its recent (1999) visit to Laxey School.
Year 3 completed classroom plans (LEFT) using the integrated package Claris Works. Students 'duplicated' items from the key and moved them onto a pre-drawn outline of their classroom, where they could be rotated, flipped and arranged (front to back) as needed. In addition, they used the Word Processor Tool to label the diagrams.
Years 4, 5 and 6 used the control program FLOWOL to program a zebra crossing, a lighthouse, and a set of three-aspect traffic lights.
A great time was had by all, and we are all indebted to LAXEY FOOTBALL CLUB for letting us plug the bus into their Clubhouse power supply. Without their help, the visit to Laxey would not have been possible! THANKS!!!
